The ten cheeky short films by avant-garde painter Maria Lassnig seem in perfect harmony with Pitty’s bedroom activities, from BAROQUE STATUES (1970–74) to MARIA LASSNIG KANTATE (1992). Here too, bodies and celluloid are up close and personal, feminism is pushed to edge of existence (but essentially encountered  too). The 1979 Forum showed these animated, drawn, sung and formed works as a pioneering achievement; at the 2024 Forum, Lassnig’s films stand alongside the Lassnig film by Anja Salomonowitz Mit einem Tiger schlafen (2024) as supporting material.
